Season 6: Starts 18th April 2012, runs for approx 15 weeks.
To Nominate a Team, fill out the Nomination Form below and return it by email to the Competition Manager

Time: Wednesdays, all matches played between 6:20-9:40pm
Venue: Clayfield College (Venue info here)
Divisions: Mens 1, Mens 2, Womens, Mixed (Note: Mixed teams can have a Maximum of 3 Male players on court)
Competition Format:
Matches are 1hr
Referees are provided, Teams do NOT have to do duties
Each match has a Warm-Up and 3 Sets of 15minutes each
Cost is $60 per team per week
Team Fees can be paid weekly or invoiced for season or half season
Each team must pay a $120 bond at the beginning of the season, this will only be refunded for the last 2 rounds of the season. Teams who forfiet a match or leave the competition early will lose their bond. The Bond will also be used to cover any outstanding team fees.
All players must be currently registered members with Volleyball Queensland. Players can Register with the Competition Manager on the night. Players who do not register with Volleyball Queensland are NOT covered for any insurance. Social Membership is $40 for Adults, or $5 for new players not registered with VQ in the past 12months. For more information, email the Competition Manager.
Team Uniforms are encouraged but not required

There seems to be a lot of people who are wanting to play social volleyball juding by the amount of comments on here. has anyone had a reply to their comment. I posted in Jan but have not heard anything back about a suitable team to join.

Hi I’m Lynne, I moved to Brisbane from the Uk almost 3 yrs ago. I used to play volleyball for a social team back in the Uk but havent played for about 15 yrs. I really would like to start again but i’m now 54 and not quite as fit as i used to be lol. Are there any veteran teams who play socially around the Wynnum/Manly area.

Where abouts in Brisbane are you? There are many beach competitions and indoor clubs around brisbane. Clubs can be found on http://www.qva.org.au when their site gets up and running after the floods, otherwise you can play beach at bracken ridge, sandstorm, somewhere in east brisbane as well I think.
